Repeating Hexagon Shelf Download

This was a really fun design. I created this after finding inspiration in an online picture. Naturally, I had to create one for myself.

 

The beauty of this is in the simplicity. There are only three pieces. The shelf, the connectors, and the ‘bottom’ connectors. The bottom connectors are designed to lay flat on the ground. However, you can get creative and use it on the top as well. Mix and match, make it as tall or as small as you want.

 

The wood I used for this project was from Ocooch Hardwoods though I often use https://amzn.to/3oyG8Xq #ad as well.

The spacing between the top and bottom shelves is about 9 inches.

 

This is designed for three material thicknesses. They are:

.115 Inches (that’s what I used and it was snug)

.125 Inches

.25 Inches

Each shelf is 3 inches by 5 inches, but you can cut whatever sized rectangle or square shelf you want. I added the notches on the shelves for some extra stability but the original assembly used regular rectangular cutouts. You can see the original assembly in the pictures with the pallet wood back drop.
